How a Tree Plantation Drive Grew into an Eco Leadership Initiative
See how our Tree Plantation Drive sparked a green revolution at GMHP School, teaching students environmental stewardship and leadership through action and greenery.
Our Annual Tree Plantation Drive began as a simple act of planting saplings—but it grew into something far greater: a student-led movement for environmental stewardship.
Every sapling planted on campus carries a lesson. Class 7 students researched native species, chose planting sites for maximum impact, and measured growth throughout the year. Teachers incorporated science, art, and civic values into the project—students recorded growth data, wrote poems about nature, and even led neighborhood campaigns to keep surroundings clean.
What started as a drive quickly transformed into “Eco-Leaders”—a core team of student ambassadors organizing clean-up events, peer workshops on rainwater harvesting, and presentations to younger students. Parents and community members joined in, helping expand the green zone beyond school walls.
Today, our campus blooms with shade-giving trees, colorful pollinator plants, and vibrant vegetable patches tended by students. Each leaf, each seedling, tells a story of agency, care, and hope. At GMHP School Kammardi, environmental education isn’t just learned—it’s lived.
